I'm unable to trace from my stats when my blog started receiving visitor traffic from InvestmentBankingReturns.com, but I did notice some activity coming from that website after I blogged about the Goldman Sachs trading code fiasco, so my curiosity led me to do a reverse search. InvestmentBankingReturns.com looks to me like a brand-new (apparently Australia-based) investment banking website with an educational mission, judging from its content. I recommend you visit their website if you're looking to know more about the investment banking business.
Here's how InvestmentBankingReturns.com described my blog:
A good example of an investment banking blog with a different flavor is entitled “An Investment Banker’s Take on Life” and it is written by a banker based in the Philippines. As his title suggests, the blogger uses this forum to take a personalized look at the investment business and to comment as he sees fit on how countries get included on “black” or “grey” banking lists according to their credit status and he also ponders other major issues that are the talk of the bank boardrooms. He also includes a fascinating section on his life as an investment banker which gives a welcome human touch to this Website and provides valuable insights into a career that many readers might find attractive.
When you're a hobbyist blogger like me, who has no advertising budget and virtually has no time to actively promote my blog through social networking and link exchanges (well,I receive tons of offer, but I routinely turn these down for reasons of my own), a totally unsolicited write-up like this is a flattering vote of confidence. I cannot possibly thank InvestmentBankingReturns.com enough for their support to this blog.
